Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue and Federal Minister Haroon Akhtar met Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai on the 30th of January, 2018, according to a news source. He invited Japanese businessmen and investors to visit Pakistan and explore investment opportunities in the country. The two met at FBR House to discuss matters related to increasing bi-lateral relations.
Akhtar stated that the country has a much improved security situation and a relatively more stable economy, which is incentive enough for investors to come to Pakistan. He added that the start of the present fiscal year has seen an 18% revenue growth which points to a healthy economy, eager to allow people to invest here.
Ambassador Kurai appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in creating a business-friendly environment and added that the country should now work for a more favourable and liberalised tax regime to foster foreign investment.
