Peshawar: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Industries and Investment (SACM) Abdul Karim Khan Tordher on Thursday (December 23) inaugurated various industries in the Jalozai Economic Zone, news sources reported. The economic zone is one of the nine economic zones built under China Pakistan Economic Zones (CPEC).
As per the news, the SACM said that the inauguration ceremony is held to celebrate the achievement of milestones in pushing the province towards industrialization. He stated that the expansion of industrial zones will contribute to the province’s prosperity and boost job opportunities for the youth. He also noted that the Jalozai Economic Zone is a fast-emerging zone for industrial growth due to the one-window approval procedure and quick implementation by KPEZDMC.
He stated that the first batch of enterprises to be opened in the Jalozai Economic Zone will also revive the province’s long-standing legacy of arms production. It should be noted that the Jalozai Economic Zone was launched in July 2020 by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan and is managed by the KP Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KPEZDMC).
