Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday held a meeting with Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese during which he extended an invitation to the Italian investors to invest in the special economic zones (SEZs) in the province, according to a news report published on March 9.

According to the details revealed, the CM stated that seven SEZs have already been notified and 13 more SEZs will be established. He assured the Italian ambassador that the investors interested in the SEZs will be offered maximum facilities. He added that Pakistan and Italy enjoy good relations and should exchange trade delegations to promote these relations.
The Italian ambassador concurred that a conducive environment has been created for the business community and conveyed the interest of Italian businessmen in investment opportunities that will expand cooperation with Punjab government.

Moreover, the chief minister informed that new tourist spots are being developed and the scope of the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has been expanded to the whole province. He said that the walled city is being restored to its original shapes.
