Islamabad: Pakistan’s Information Technology sector is recording swift growth, especially the Telecommunication sector, as per a news report. There are over 58 million fixed and mobile broadband users, because of which, there is a significant competition amongst broadband users and the services are more affordable.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Member Information Technology Mudassir Hussain said that Pakistan has only recently recognised ICT as an industry, as IT and telecom are moving at a swift pace. He said this gives an opportunity to international players in being a part of this sector. Recently, a leading Chinese digital solutions provided also expressed their interest in exploring the Pakistani market for investment because of healthy growth in the country’s IT sector.
