Senator Hidayatullah Khan chaired the meeting held at the Parliament Lodges. The meeting discussed the project’s completion status. The relevant officials informed the committee that the project was approved in 2013, and the cost was divided in a 60-40 ratio between the federal and provincial governments.
The officials told the committee that work on the project officially began in 2017. The federal government has so far released 20% of the funds due from its part. Meanwhile, the provincial government has issued PKR 1.25 billion out of a total of PKR 1.75 billion payable on its behalf.
