Islamabad: The Islamabad Police has developed a digital control room to improve the interaction of police officials with citizens in order to provide the best services, according to news sources.
As per the details, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) visited the digital control room to review the police interaction with complainants. It was disclosed that the offices of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and IGP can oversee the operations of police stations with the help of this system. Both officials can interact with the complainants during their visit while the Additional Inspector General (AIG) has been ordered to interact with complainants for an hour daily.
Moreover, the conversation between complainants and police officials will be recorded. The service is expected to be extended to the offices of zonal (Superintendents of Police) SPs and Sub-divisional Police Officers (SDPOs). Latest cameras are also being installed at the offices of Station House Officers (SHOs), front desks of police stations, muharrars, and uniforms of police guides. The IGP Islamabad stated that the implementation of this system will help monitor the conduct of police officials with citizens and ensure effective policing.
