Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday called for the inclusion of education and health reforms in the revised master plan for the capital city, a news source reported.
He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting in Islamabad. Finance Minister Asad Umar, Health Minister Amir Kiyani, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan, and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Amir Ahmed Ali were all present at the occasion.
The prime minister directed the authorities concerned to expedite work on pending development projects in the city. He said that the master plan should be revised according to public needs and interests.
The departments concerned were told not to damage green areas while developing the new structures proposed. Moreover, the city administration was directed to enrol underprivileged children in educational institutions.
