Islamabad: In its 48th meeting held on August 17, the Capital Development Authority’s Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) approved the PC-II for the Islamabad Master Plan 2020-40’s Project Review, according to a press release issued by the development authority.

Reportedly, the meeting was held to further build up momentum for development activity in the city. The session was presided over by CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed, and representatives of the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry Finance were also in attendance, along with officials from other relevant government departments.
The CDA has recently started work on a record number of development projects in the city, including the construction of road interchanges, bridges, establishment of wetlands, and initiation of development work in stalled residential sectors.

In addition to approving the PC-II for the Islamabad Master Plan Project Review, the meeting also approved the PC-I for development work in Sector D-12 and for the construction of a bridge on Kiyani Road. Furthermore, the CDA-DWP approved a PC-II for the engagement of consultancy services for a feasibility study and detailed designs for the development of parking plazas that have been planned for various locations across the city.

What does this mean? Are they still to hire a consultant for the review of the Mater Plan or the Master plan been reviewed and is to be approved now?
