Islamabad: The Ministry of Interior on Friday gave its nod to the federal commission to hire a consultant for reviewing the Islamabad master plan, a news source reported.

The ministry, besides approving the request for proposals (RFP), directed the commission to abide by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules and other regulations.
Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is expected to hold its second consultative dialogue with regard to the said master plan review on May 16 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad.
Various private associations, development authorities, international organisations, NGOs, and members of the civic society are anticipated to attend the event.

CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali informed that the consultative session aimed to seek suggestions from the participants on the proposed master plan’s design framework.
