Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to develop an online portal for citizens where it will issue updates and seek inputs with regard to the Islamabad Master Plan, a news source reported.

A meeting of the federal commission – which is currently working on the master plan – took place in Islamabad on Monday. Officials of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), CDA, and the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) were all present at the occasion.
The EPA representatives informed that the city had witnessed growth in green areas from 1990 to 2016. Similarly, built-up areas also increased by several folds over the said period of time.

The commission directed SUPARCO to assist CDA in monitoring the issues of urban sprawl, encroachments, and built-up-property in the capital city. For this purpose, SUPARCO will share a draft with the civic agency soon.
