Rawalpindi: The Islamabad International Airport’s inauguration has been delayed from 20th April 2018 to 3rd May 2018, according to a news report. The news of the delay has come from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), as the Prime Minister’s Advisor on aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed wants to test more of the airport’s equipment.
This airport was scheduled to operate from 20th April 2018. Ahmed had expressed his satisfaction over the airport’s systems during a visit at the facility on 18th April 2018. The CAA, however, now feels that more inspections should be carried out before it can be up and running. A fresh notice has also been dispatched by the CAA to this effect.
