Islamabad: The Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry inaugurated Sohan Interchange on Saturday, according to a news source. With this interchange becoming operational, Islamabad Expressway becomes signal-free from Zero Point to Karal Interchange.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry said that the project was completed in 13 months at an expense of PKR 740 million, while PKR 400 million had been reserved for the renovation of the service road (east) from Faizabad to Karal Interchange, he added.
Talking about the completion timeframe of Khanna Interchange, Chaudhry said that the development work on it has been completed by 53%, and the interchange would be completed within the next two months with an approximate cost of PKR 1,451 million.
