Islamabad: The drive-in cinema project being developed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Jazz, and Activemedia is set to open tomorrow (December 18) at the Parade Ground, adjacent to the Islamabad Highway, according to news sources.

This project aims to provide quality entertainment to people during the ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The movies in this drive-in cinema will be shown from Friday to Sunday at 5:30 pm. Reportedly, there will be a weekly theme that will range between action, science fiction, fantasy and animations.

The project was launched through the efforts of CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed, who opined that a drive-in cinema would prove to be a safe entertainment option for the residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the current wave of the coronavirus pandemic. He further hinted that if the project proved to be successful, more such facilities would then be developed in Islamabad.
