Islamabad: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat on Tuesday notified a complete ban on illegal constructions in Capital Development Authority (CDA) sectors and on land owned by the Federal Government Employees Housing Scheme (FGEHS), a news source reported.

According to the notification provided, the Islamabad DC imposed the said ban in CDA sectors including C-13,C-16, D-13, E-10, E-13, F-13, H-16, and I-117, along with prohibiting constructions on FGEHS land in sectors G-14/2, Mouza Jhangi Syedan F-14 and F-15, F-15/3, and 3 Mouza Chellow.
In his notification, the DC took notice of certain individuals involved in illegal constructions and encroachments in these areas. Shafqaat stated that the ban would take effect immediately and remain in place for the next two months. He added that any task completed, action taken, penalty imposed, investigations started, or court proceedings against offenders in regards to this ban would continue even after the expiry of the notification.

Following the DC’s notification, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has enforced the ban on illegal constructions in CDA sectors and on FGEHS land in the city.
