Islamabad: The board of directors of the Inter State Gas System (ISGS) has decided to put the case of the planned white oil pipeline before the newly elected government, according to a news source. This was because the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had given a licence to Frontier Oil Company (FOC) for another pipeline along the same route.
After receiving a go-ahead, ISGS had invited tenders for the construction of this project, which is slated to be worth PKR 56 billion. A feasibility study for this pipeline has already been conducted, as the purpose of it was to prevent oil theft and break up oil cartels. Hence, having two pipeline along the same route would be problematic.
