Through an ad published in various newspapers today, the DHA Multan Investors’ Association (DHAMIA) has claimed that DHA Multan will be officially launched sooner rather than later. To inquire more about this news that many investors have been looking forward to for the last several years, I contacted my sources and acquired some intriguing information in this regard.
Never before has any association attached with DHA Multan made such claims through print ads, which makes it appear a serious thing this time. According to this ad, land acquisition for Phase I has been completed – a claim several agents have already made in the past. I have been told that the land currently being acquired for DHA Multan is not for Phase I but for Phase I Extension.
To confirm the information about the project’s official launch, I called Bodla Builders CEO Junaid Bodla, who is also the Secretary of DHAMIA. He told me that this information was disseminated by DHA itself in a meeting held recently. According to Bodla, DHA Multan has allowed agents to spread the word about the project’s official launch.
I must, however, tell you that DHA itself hasn’t shared a word in this regard but Bodla has told me that hoardings and billboards about the official launch of DHA Multan will soon be erected by DHAMIA with the consent of DHA. Bodla expects that DHA will officially launch DHA Multan in the last week of December. He is also of the view that with this news, demand for DHA Multan files will shoot up.
Ideally, a developer officially shares such information at least two weeks before an event is scheduled to take place. So, if DHA is actually going to launch it, we should be able to get concrete information in this regard within the next week. I must tell you that rumours about the official launch were spread in the past but proved to be disappointing for investors. So naturally, I had to ask Bodla what the chances were of DHA Multan not seeing an official launch this time again, responding to which he said: only less than 10%.
You should also know that DHA Multan is perhaps the only project of DHA that has witnessed an impressive pace of development before the official launch. So far, development work is being done on the Main Boulevard and the boundary wall of Phase I, while the entrance gate has already been completed.
Asked about the expected official rate of DHA Multan plots, Bodla said that DHA hasn’t said a word about it but the expected rate of a 1-kanal plot would probably be around PKR 6,000,000. At the moment, you can buy a 1-kanal affidavit file between PKR 3,950,000 and PKR 4,000,000, which Bodla believes can cross PKR 4,200,000 within this week.
I am anxiously waiting for DHA to make an announcement about the official launch of its project in Multan because honestly, it’s about time!

Don’t get confused. This is the right time to invest in this project. Phase I Extension has been launched, which means Phase I has excellent potential for investment. If you are planning to invest here, don’t wait for the official launch, as I believe that prices will see a sudden jump right after the launch, InshaALLAH.

Earlier this year when there was strong rumors about launching, DHA Multan open market cash file prices shot up to Rs 4.2-4.4 million from 3.2-3.4 million. Surprisingly, prices stayed around Rs. 4 million and did not drop drastically. This speaks for the strength of the project. Now about 10 months later, once again there is very strong indication that DHA Multan may eventually be launched End December or beginning January 2017. Every calculation shows Installment prices could be Rs 5.8 to 6.00 Million and that Cash price for Files may shoot upto Rs 4.8-5.0 million. One contributing factor could be that controversial FBR regulations have finally been settled and good thing is that files do not become properties for several years, till plot is physically handed over. Therefore, File Trading will certainly shoot up in all projects but more specifically DHA Multan.
I have been recommending to zameen.com readers to keep watching developments in DHA Multan, so here it is! The cat is about to come out of the bag! Investors have already started asking higher prices and holding back files. Grab one as soon as you can.
