The launch of the fake DHA Quetta website, ISPR’s reaction to it and the stance of the real estate marketing firm running this website made me more interested in the real estate market of Quetta. So naturally, I had to explore more to find out if DHA Quetta was in the pipeline.
From my sources, who are very well-versed with the real estate market of Quetta, I have learnt that DHA is buying land for its first residential project in Baluchistan. According to these sources, the land currently being acquired surrounds Quetta Cantt. The location appears great as it offers beautiful views of the mountains in the north eastern region. However, the housing project has not shared any official word in this regard.
As reported in the national dailies published in 2015, the Baluchistan Assembly had approved the draft bill for DHA Quetta on October 1, 2015. With the approval of this bill, it was anticipated that the establishment of the project will provide better housing facilities to the people here.
Well, the launch of DHA Quetta will certainly make the city’s real estate sector more active. And if you think that property rates in the city are cheap at the moment, based on the factors such as repatriation of Afghan refugees, less-than-ideal-security condition and the general unacceptance for “foreign” investors, you are wrong my friends. The average rate of 1-kanal residential plots in the city is more than PKR 10 million.
I must also tell you that the real estate market of Quetta is currently at a standstill and it is due to the winter season. Winters bring along a total halt in almost all trade activities in Quetta. In fact, many people spend these months in warmer areas of the country. In other words, despite no real estate activity, property rates in Quetta aren’t going down.
Many property owners and investors in Quetta are aware of the city’s geostrategic importance for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and have decided to hold on to their investment in hopes of getting better returns in the years to come. It is important to note that all the trade activities that will be carried out with the countries located in west after the completion of CPEC will be done through the routes that lead to the Chaman Border and these routes pass through Quetta.
The development work has already begun on this important road network. Furthermore, widening and expansion of major avenues in and around Quetta is being carried out currently. Several roads and highways in and around the city are being expanded, giving great hopes for the prosperity and development of the province to the people living in the region. The launch of DHA Quetta will only make real estate affairs even more exciting in Quetta.
Considering improved law and order in the city, investors maintain high hopes for CPEC. I hope and pray that just when DHA launches its projects in Quetta, I am in a position to purchase a plot there and spend the rest of my life in the valley that echoes peace.
I am from Quetta Samra. The property rates there are already sky high due to the Afghan immigrants and black money they bring. A kanal plot in Quettan Cantt is around 5 crore, approximately.
Is there a notification whatsapp group or something else where people can come to know as soon as DHA quetta housing project is announced ?
Plus if you can ask your colleagues to write something about B17 MPCHS Islamabad and DHA Valley situation please.
