Violating regulations, the officers of CDA committed felony of irregularity by allotting plots in developed areas instead of under-developed localities. According to the Land Disposal Regulations of 2005, plots of developed sectors were supposed to be sold through open auction. Contrarily, 3187 plots were created in developed sectors including E/11, D/12, I/11, I/10, G/11 and G/10.
As per Land Disposal policy, CDA employees are entitled to 5% quota in plots, but the employees were allotted extra plots, with approximate value of Rs.20.20 billion. It was further exposed that the CDA’s land of worth Rs. 22.36 billion is occupied illegally by the people. However, the orders to probe the encroachments have been given.
The DMA of CDA issued license to build restaurant at Pir Suhawa. A structure was constructed on an area of 1960.66sq.yards, which violates Municipal by-laws and due to this violation CDA had to bear a loss of Rs.77.50 million.
