Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is ready to inaugurate the 100-megawatt (MW) Iran-Gwadar Power Transmission project to resolve the energy crisis in Gwadar, a news source reported on February 28.

As per the details, the final testing for the 100MW power project has been completed successfully and it will provide an uninterrupted power supply to Gwadar. The project authorities mentioned that under this project, electricity will be imported without any interruptions from Iran; resolving the long-standing power issue. It was shared that the supply will begin after the inauguration.

The news source shared that the project is being executed in collaboration with Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), China Overseas Port Holding Company, National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), and China Overseas Port Holding Company.
