DHA City Lahore has been riding on the wave of ambiguity for a few months. The reason is obvious: file transfers are temporarily at a halt and the society’s case is being probed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
NAB has arrested Globaco (Pvt) Ltd Chief Executive Officer Hammad Arshad on charges of corruption. Globaco (Pvt) Ltd was supposed to acquire land for DHA City, but failed to do so and could only purchase 13,103 kanals of land in scattered patches.
According to sources, NAB is still probing the case, while investors are eagerly waiting for property transfers to open.
Amid all this, some people are still purchasing DHA City Lahore files, hoping that the prices of these files will surge as soon as the doors to file transfers open, but the Defence Housing Authority has nothing to do with the current trade activity.
Sale agreements are signed between the two parties (buyer and seller) and a down payment is made by the buyer, with a promise of clearing the accounts at the time of transfer.
Currently, the asking price of a 5-marla file is PKR 1,100,000. The same file had a value of PKR 1,300,000 before transfers stopped.
On the other hand, asking prices of 10-marla and 1-kanal files are PKR 2,200,000 and PKR 3,200,000 respectively.
Though this is a risky investment with no apparent timeframe, I believe the prices of these files will double as soon as transfers open because the sale-purchase activity will witness sudden escalation.
Those who already have DHA City Lahore files in possession should not sell them unless they really need cash.
Considering the fact that DHA is behind this project, investors shouldn’t lose hope and wait a little more until the dust settles. I would not recommend you buy or sell DHA City Lahore files under these circumstances to avoid any untoward situation.

We do get inside information sometimes, but we find it unethical to share information which the developer doesn’t want us make public.

I read it in one of the artivle that Hamad had only taken the name of DHA by mutal understanding with DHA.

Yesterday, I was discussing DHA City with someone, who told me that the matter is almost 80% resolved. But please note that the person I conversed with was not a DHA official.
Let’s see how the matter unfolds. Until then I suggest you do not rely upon rumours.

What could be the estimated waiting time for the prices to increase. Or on the other hand if I choose to keep my 10 Marla balloting file (all installments paid).
The location of project will be the same as declared earlier or it could shift towards DHA Phase 8 side of Lahore.
Is it good to buy file now or should wait for any further decision ???

Could you please provide some update on DHA Ph 2 Extension in Islamabad DHA. Its over 7 years when I bought the files in the hope that being DHA, this will progress faster. Being overseas is not a help as uncertainty prevails in the mind. I know the prices have gone up but what about possession and development work on the project. I did not buy the land for the children, rather I want to build a house there.

1-Democracy means equal distribution of natural Resources Gas Oil Gold Metals, Marbals etc; to General Public
2- Every Pakistani Pays 150% of each buying to the Government. each 1000 price paid on a commodity in Pakistan is 400 Rupees Actual Price so all taxes on that become 150% ( Rs 600), so consumer price becomes then to Rs 1000. That is Indirect Taxes on Each Pakistani including people below Poverty Line. Govt. send each of them Gas Royalty, Oil Royalty in terms of 40 % additional Tax than the international Buying Price, instead it is coming from teir own land.
3- Electricity Prices not Changed: Oil prices have lowered to 1/3 rd i-e-Dollars 110 per barrel to Dollars 40 per Barrel, if Pakistan do not produce a single litre of Oil. Electricity Prices depend upon Oil Prices as 60 % of Electricity is Thermal/ Oil and gas based. NEPRA departments are given to private Contractors Mr. Zaigham, Mr Nadir Khosa, Mr Insaf and one other contractor illegally, who sell desired public interest to the Power Companies for Personal Gains of NEPRA Authorities Cabinet Division has confirred such Powers to NEPRA Chaairman to privatise/ run through private Contractors the NEPRA is a Question arrising from Previous Zardari Govt. Continuing in this Govt through their common cum joint Interests. These Facts could not brought the Electricity Prices Down a single Rupee in basic unit rates.
