Lahore: Punjab Anti-Corruption Department has decided to investigate 10 more illegally established housing schemes in the city, reported a news source. In this regard, details on these projects have been sought from Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

The illegal housing schemes currently being investigated are located in Manawan and other parts of the city. LDA is to share details on these housing projects by December 17. The investigations currently carried out against such projects is part of the large-scale inquiry that is being carried out in the province by Anti-Corruption Department into charges of fraud against the general public and related anomalies.

Reportedly, the societies have managed to exist without procuring an LDA-issued NOC, and assistance from sources within the authority was rendered.
The formal request to share details of illegally developed housing schemes in the city was placed by Anti-Corruption Lahore Region Deputy Director Shahrukh Khan Niazi. In the meanwhile, the process to investigate housing schemes operating without an NOC continues.
