Lahore: In a meeting held between Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar and Commerce and Investment Adviser to Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood on Sunday (May 23), it was decided to establish an ultra-modern International Expo Centre in the province, according to news sources. The news source doesn’t mention the name of the city where the said facility is planned to be established.

The meeting took place in the CM office with provincial ministers Mian Aslam Iqbal and Hasham Jawan Bakht, secretaries of Planning and Development and Industries departments, principal secretary to the chief minister, Investment and Trade Chief Executive Officer Punjab Board along with some other officials.
The CM instructed the concerned departments were to start working on this project on a priority basis. During the meeting, the promotion of cooperative agricultural farming was also discussed. A proposal to establish a Plug & Play Centre in Multan for the stitching industry was also discussed.

CM Buzdar also expressed keen interest on giving incentives to cash crop growers and cotton producers for promoting the cotton industry. He added that the increase in cotton production will help in the development of other related sectors including textile industry.
