Peshawar: The Pakistan International Snowboarding Championship will commence at the Malam Jabba tourist resort in the scenic Swat Valley today (January 18), a news source reported. The six-day event is a collaborative effort between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KP-C&TA) and the Sports, Tourism, Archaeology, Youth Affairs & Museums Department.

Festivities planned for the event, which will host snowboarding enthusiasts from across the country, include traditional food stalls and a music festival. Organisers of the event say that the venture aims to highlight the tourism potential of both Malakand and Hazara divisions.

The add that the provincial government is making efforts for the development of tourism spots in addition to ensuring the provision of all necessary facilities for both local and foreign tourists in the province. Moreover, they have reiterated their intent to organise the event with great fanfare.
