Islamabad: The federal government has introduced a new initiative under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme aimed at supporting young individuals looking for employment opportunities abroad. The scheme, which offers interest-free loans of up to Rs1 million, is designed to assist 100,000 eligible applicants in managing the costs associated with overseas employment.
This new financial support package will help young job seekers cover essential expenses such as travel, visa fees, skills training, and initial settlement costs in the host country. By offering this financial assistance, the government aims to provide young people with the resources they need to kickstart their international careers and ease their transition to living and working abroad.

The loan will be provided on flexible repayment terms, allowing beneficiaries to pay back the amount in equal monthly instalments over seven to eight years. This structure is intended to alleviate any immediate financial burden, making it easier for young Pakistanis to take advantage of overseas employment opportunities without worrying about the repayment schedule in the short term.
To qualify for the loan, applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 45 and must provide proof of a valid job offer or employment recruitment through licensed Overseas Employment Promoters. The scheme is specifically targeted at individuals who have already secured job prospects abroad, ensuring that the financial assistance is directed to those who are ready to begin their international careers.
Officials from the government emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to empower the youth and enhance the country’s human capital. By supporting young people in accessing international job markets, the government aims to strengthen the workforce, increase economic activity, and foster a globally competitive and skilled labor force.
