Mansehra: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan Swati on Sunday announced the government’s plan to build an interchange at Hazara Expressway in the Battal area – a news source reported.

Speaking at a gathering in the Harain area, the minister informed the crowd that the government had been working to build an interchange at the Hazara Expressway in response to the several complaints they received from the locals regarding the situation.
Previously, the locals had held rallies on the matter, demanding that the authorities concerned build an interchange to link Oghi and upper parts of the district to the Hazara Expressway.

Minister Swati further announced that the tail end of the Hazara Expressway in Thakot had nearly been completed. He added that once the project is developed completely, it is expected to bring economic and social change in the lives of the local population, and contribute to the country’s development.
A 47-km patch of the 59-km expressway between the Burhan and Shah Maqsood Interchange has been operational since December 2018. The work on the remaining part of the project is currently under development and is expected to be finished soon.
