Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibtain Raza has ordered an inspection of all illegal buildings under the civic agency’s jurisdiction.
He issued these directives to Chief Engineer Ghulam Abbas after taking notice of various illegal residential and commercial buildings in RDA’s domain.
In response, the chief engineer issued a schedule for inspection of illegal high-rises in all 10 wards of the area. The inspection teams will review the building plans of various high-rises and report their findings to the authorities concerned.
The CEO will review the findings and take required action against the owners of these illegal constructions.
Previously, CEO Raza had received a report about various illegal structures in cantonment areas, and took notice of this practice which is prevalent throughout the city. The findings of this inspection will be examined thoroughly, and then appropriate manpower will be utilised for its proceedings.
