Sialkot: Sialkot Cantonment Board (SCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sardar Asif Sultan has announced that the administrative body will be launching infrastructural projects worth millions of rupees in the city’s cantonment area within the coming period — a news source reported. As per the publication, the projects under consideration will be aimed at providing better public facilities to the city’s residents — including a number of highways and link roads.

The CEO further revealed that PKR 2.2 million had been allocated for Zafar Ali Road, PKR 1.6 million for Sabir Kamal Road, and PKR 3.3 million for Tufail Road. In addition, the already under construction Saeed Shaheed Road would be allocated PKR 40 million for completion.

He added that a supplementary amount of PKR 50 million will be spent on the construction of a new building for the maternity ward of the Cantonment’s General Hospital.
