Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan recently announced the provincial government’s plan to set-up road networks and industrial zones, as well as develop tourist sites, across the province, a news source reported. He stated that these projects would form part of the KP government’s overall developmental strategy for the region.

The CM revealed this information during a meeting with the Provincial Minister for Communications & Works Akbar Ayub. He added that the provincial government was working to attract foreign investment, as it was necessary for the development of the province, and that they were also discussing strategies aimed at stabilising KP’s economy and promoting ease of business.

CM Mahmood stated that the provincial government was taking all measures to bring about an economic revolution in KP – including the newly merged tribal districts (NMTDs). He added that the growth of industrial zones would not only help in developing the province, but generate more employment opportunities for its residents as well.
