Peshawar: The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Centre of Excellence Islamabad Executive Director Shahid Rashid said that industrialisation in the province grew by 58% because of CPEC, according to a news report. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s business community asked the Federal Government and Ministry of Planning and Reforms to increase the number of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the province.
CPEC is the main reason why investment in the country is growing.
The President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Zahidullah Shinwari said that CPEC is a game-changer and will make the country an economic hub. Federation of Pakistan Chambers Commerce and Industry President Ghazanfar Bilour and various other dignitaries were also present at the occasion.
Shinwari also urged upon the importance of hydel power generation projects and said that this is needed for prosperity.
