As per the details, the Civil Defence Department has formed five teams for the survey of the residential areas to assess where unlawful businesses and industries are functioning. It was shared that the survey is expected to be completed within two weeks. After the survey is completed, the Rawalpindi Municipal Council, the Cantonment Boards, and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will take against the businesses.
Reportedly, the Civil Defence Department officer mentioned that manufacturers producing cardboard, chemicals, plastics, textiles, and explosives are functioning in the residential areas, which poses a serious risk to the safety of the locals.
