Karachi: Sindh Minister for Environment and Climate Change Taimur Talpur on Wednesday asked industrialists to install waste-water treatment plants in their industrial units on a priority basis, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with representatives of the Industrial Association of Sindh, Karachi Port Trust, cantonment boards, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, and Sindh Building Control Authority.
He said that affluent treatment plants must be established for proper disposal of waste water. He directed the stakeholders concerned to prepare a plan to this effect.

The participants also discussed progress on the recommendations of the Supreme Court-mandated commission on water. The minister said that the provincial government would facilitate concerned parties in every possible way.
