It is believed that when the plots were allotted, the prices of land had been low in the area so people had bought these plots with a view to invest in the land itself and hadn’t established industrial units on it. Now, however, the government has established a policy that only allows for sale of an industrial unit but not the plot itself. The decision to cancel allotments have also been made with a view to boost industrial activity in the country.
