Gujranwala: The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Small Industries has sent a summary to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Board of Governors for making Gujranwala Small Industrial Estate IV a part of CPEC, according to a news source. Development work in the industrial estate that spans 265 acres of land and features industrial plots in sizes of one to eight kanals has been completed by 80%.
This estate will be home to factories preparing a wide range of local products. As a part of CPEC, the industrial estate can help promote local industries in international markets. It is expected that Industrial Estate IV will be declared as part of CPEC soon, allowing it to avail the tax exemption for the next five years and many other benefits. The formal approval of the summary is awaited.
