Islamabad: Pakistan and Indonesia on Thursday (December 22) signed a grant agreement worth USD 1 million to provide humanitarian assistance to flood-affected people in the country, according to news reports.

In a ceremony held in Islamabad, the chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Indonesian Ambassador Adam Mulawarman Tugio signed the agreement.
The grant, provided by the Indonesian government, will be used to assist in the recovery and rehabilitation of the most vulnerable people affected by the flood. It will also be used to provide basic needs such as food, nutrition, and shelter.

It is important to note that Pakistan and Indonesia have enjoyed a strong diplomatic relationship since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1950. Over the years, both countries have collaborated in various fields, such as trade, investment, culture, and education. This latest grant agreement is a testament to the strong bond between the two countries.
