On Tuesday (September 14), the ambassador spoke to the local manufacturers and exporters at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). He stated that the completion of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will increase Pakistan’s geostrategic prominence in the region.
Moreover, Mr Tugio noted that commerce between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Pakistan is relatively low in comparison to China, implying that greater bilateral trade prospects await manufacturers and traders. On the occasion, the ambassador also emphasised the two nations’ cultural commonalities, particularly religion. The conference was attended by SCCI members as well as local manufacturers and dealers of the region.
