Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday (September 24) revealed that the government will provide incentives to overseas Pakistanis sending foreign remittances and making investments in the country, according to a news source.

The premier shared this information while presiding over a meeting held to discuss measures to increase the rate of foreign remittances. Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Chairman Lt Gen Anwar Ali Haider, Governor State Bank of Pakistan Reza Baqir, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, and prominent business figures including Aqeel Karim Dhedi, Arif Habib, Faisal Afridi, Gohar Ijaz, Mudassar Mehmood, and Mian Mohammad Ahsen were also present during the session.

Addressing the meeting members, the PM said that the government was focusing on increasing exports, arranging for substitutes for imported items, enhancing foreign investment, and promoting overseas investments in local projects. He further mentioned that overseas Pakistanis should be incentivized and provided with better investment opportunities in the country.
