Lahore: Inauguration of an overhead bridge at Shaukat Khanum Hospital intersection has been delayed because of unavailability of funds, according to a news report. A senior Lahore Development Authority (LDA) representative has said that the funds couldn’t be released because of financial issues faced by the Finance Department. Resultantly, the project is expected to be delayed by a few months.
The flyover was planned to connect Khayaban-e-Firdousi and Khayaban-e-Jinnah, costing the government PKR 1.6 billion and expected to be launched by 15th June this year. However, because of low funds, the project will now be delayed.
