Islamabad: Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Syed Amin ul Haque and Republic of Korea Ambassador Suh Sangpyo inaugurated Islamabad Technology park on Wednesday, according to media reports.

Syed Amin ul Haque stated that the IT park is expected to complete in 30 months and it is a huge step forward in accomplishing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Digital Pakistan vision
Speaking at the event, Suh Sangpyo said that the constructions of IT Parks are important projects under the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), which was signed in 2019 between Pakistan and Korea. Under this program, Korea will provide USD 500 million funds for the construction of infrastructure in the country.

Also, the Ambassador mentioned that the establishment of the IT Park in Islamabad will promote a business-friendly environment for small and medium IT companies. With the help of Korea, Pakistan’s IT capacity can be improved through infrastructure, capacity building, and technology development.
