Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has instructed the Karachi administration to open the Gulistan-e-Jauhar underpass soon, a news source reported on August 17.

As per the details, the CM visited the newly constructed overpass and the under-construction underpass project in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, worth PKR 1 billion. He directed the Karachi administration to inaugurate the underpass on August 21. During the visit, the outgoing Chief Minister was accompanied by former ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
The construction of underpass project began in March 2023 and was to be completed within 18 months. The news source mentioned that the underpass spans 110 meters in length and 18.5 meters in width. Additionally, the ramp extending from Pehlwan Goth’s side measures 848 meters. To enhance its aesthetics, LED lights have been installed both on and beneath the underpass.

Expressing satisfaction with the project’s progress, CM Syed Murad Ali Shah commended the departing Sindh administration for their prolific efforts in executing numerous development projects across Karachi.
