Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated the much-awaited Green Line Train between Islamabad and Karachi, a news source reported on January 27.

As per the details, the train service will start operation as Premium Express of Pakistan Railways (PR). It will make stops in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Khanewal, Rohri, Chaklala, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad, and Drug Road after leaving Margalla Station. It was mentioned in the statement released by the PR that the train will operate with brand-new bogies imported from China.
The PR revealed that the Green Line Train turnaround time is set at around 22 hours and will be reduced gradually. The news source mentioned that Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq has directed the department to provide breakfast, lunch, hi-tea, and dinner to the passengers. The price of the meals will be included in the ticket. It was disclosed that high-quality bedding and amenity kits will also be provided to the passengers.

Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Salman Sadiq Shaikh stated that Green Line will set a new standard and more trains equipped with high-quality services will be introduced.
