Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the long-awaited Bhara Kahu bypass in Islamabad, according to news published on August 3.

As per the details, the said project is constructed to alleviate traffic congestion for those heading towards Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The 5.4-kilometer overhead bridge project was successfully completed within a span of 9 months. With a total cost of over PKR 6 billion, the bypass is strategically designed to ease traffic flow and provide relief to both commuters and tourists.

During the inauguration event, PM Shehbaz emphasized on how the bypass would significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area, which had been a pressing concern for the local population and visitors alike. The premier also acknowledged the challenges faced during the project’s execution, particularly related to land acquisition.
