Mansehra: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan recently approved funds worth PKR 3 billion for road projects in the city, according to a news report.
The abovementioned road projects include blacktopping two of Mansehra’s major avenues, the Mansehra-Chaterplan and Mansehra-Naran roads. The PM approved these projects during a meeting with parliamentary secretary for energy Salah Mohammad Khan in Islamabad.

At the same meeting, he also gave the go-ahead for establishing a coronavirus testing laboratory for Mansehra. Mr Salah revealed that the PM had expressed his concern about the COVID-19 situation in the Hazara Division, particularly in Mansehra. Resultantly, the premier ordered the installation of a central oxygen system and incinerator, along with five ventilators at the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in the city. He added that the PM had also approved electricity supply and a feeder for numerous villages in the Pakhal and Kaghan areas.

The proposed laboratory, as per sources, will cater to Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, Kolai-Palas, and the Upper and Lower Kohistan districts.
