A couple of days ago, I came across a very interesting documentary about Bahria Island City, Karachi, which gave the impression that Bahria Town has perhaps relaunched this project. Bahria Town had indeed planned one such project on Bundal and Buddo Islands back in April 2013, for which a $20 billion deal was reportedly signed between Bahria Town CEO Malik Riaz and Thomas Kramer, a US-based developer known worldwide for his South Beach project in Miami, Florida but that didn’t work out.
The deal couldn’t materialize due to political reasons, as then stated by Malik Riaz through print advertisements. The Island City project claimed to create 2.5 million new employment opportunities in the country, accelerate the production of cement, glass, bricks, and iron, and boost 55 related industries. The project was also to have the world’s tallest building and biggest shopping mall. I must say these details were very fascinating and I anticipated further development of the project, which unfortunately couldn’t happen.
Just now, when I came across this video, the first impression I got was that perhaps Bahria Town has been able to revive the project and the developer plans to launch it soon. I also thought perhaps I, too, could invest in it. So naturally I researched more about the project and learnt that no such information was released recently by Bahria Town and the developer hasn’t shared an update on it. In fact, Bundal and Buddo Islands are not owned by Bahria Town. I also called Bahria Town to seek further details and learnt that Bahria Town hasn’t announced this project as of late.
So if you have received this video or an ad claiming the launch of Bahria Island City and how it is going to change the fate of Pakistan, just ignore it.
But then the question is that who had launched the video and what are the intentions behind it?
Bheria builder very nice.builder and nice developing work.

They should have to launch this project for the future of Pakistan & also good for international trading…!
