Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has instructed its Building Control Section (BSC) to check if the housing schemes located in the federal capital are following the building bylaws, a news source reported.

Following the instructions of the CDA, the BSC has started paying visits to these societies to check if the developer has implemented the building bylaws communicated by the development authority. As per the CDA directives, the inspection teams are to visit housing schemes located in Islamabad as well as those part of the Islamabad Capital Territory and the CDA controlled areas.

Earlier this week, a committee headed by Building Control director proposed news bylaws for commercial buildings in Islamabad. The proposed bylaws will be sent to the CDA for approval. These bylaws specified floor-area ratio for different plots (according to their size and location) in various parts of the city including Blue Area and Markazes set up in the CDA sectors.
