Lahore: The Implementation Committee of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams is to have its first meeting on the 12th of this month, according to a news report. This would be presided over by the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) Chairman (retd) Lt. General Muzammil Hussain.
The meeting will also be attended by Ministry of Water Resources Joint Secretary Syed Mehar Ali Shah as he is also the committee’s secretary. According to a Wapda spokesman, following the Supreme Court’s judgement earlier this month which has called for immediate construction of Diamer and Mohmand Dams, a secretariat has also been established to look into the matter.
