Lahore: Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) Director General (DG) Muazzam Iqbal Sapra has issued directives to the PLRA staff, particularly to those stationed in the authority’s land record centres, to follow all precautionary measures against the coronavirus pandemic currently raging through the country, a news source reported.

He also specifically instructed the staff to record their attendance manually instead of using the thumb imprint biometric system until April 5. He further stated that the people visiting the centres to register their properties should be offered hand sanitizers before and after biometric verification.

To this effect, he also instructed that the availability of hand-sanitizers should be ensured at all the land record centres. Additionally, the staff has been directed to wear masks when on shifts at the service counters.
The DG said that these precautionary measures would help protect not only the staff but also prevent the spread of the virus among general public.
