Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Naseem Khokhar has ordered that the Murree/Kahuta Development Authority should be immediately made functional – a news source reported. He issued instructions to various departments, including the municipal department, for this purpose.
Khokhar was chairing a meeting in Civil Secretariat. He said that making the authority operational will help the development of the area and help resolve public issues. He instructed the various departments to cooperate fully on the matter.

The meeting also discussed the foundation of Kohsar University, Murree. The meeting was told that the Department of Education has sent proposals for establishing the university at Punjab House Murree or some other public building. The final decision on the matter will be taken on May 25 in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary.
The meeting was also attended by Member National Assembly (MNA) Sadaqat Ali Abbasi and officials of municipal, law, tourism, and higher education departments.
