Rawalpindi: Due to the negligence of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), illegal housing societies have mushroomed in the city. According to a news source, about 30 societies had been held illegal by the RDA, but they are still operating and selling plots.
In 2013, the RDA had declared 27 residential societies illegal, but now the number of such societies has increased to 30 and so far, the civic body has taken no action against these societies
