Karachi: For reclaiming land illegally in Karachi Port Trust (KPT) area, land grabbers and some unscrupulous elements are dumping garbage in the sea and KPT authorities are unable to check this illegal activity, a news source has unveiled.
As per details, the land grabbers are encroaching land in Docks Colony, Hijrat Coloy, Gulshan-e-Sikanderabad, Machar Colony and Younisabad.
While talking to the police and district administration, KPT Port Security Force Commandant Baser Alam said that the KPT authority was endeavouring to protect its land from the mafia. He expressed regret for not getting assistance from the police for combating against the illegal reclamation/dumping activities.
