Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority has decided to bulldoze all illegal wedding halls and marquees throughout the city, reported a news source. To find out the legal status of each of these units, the owners have been asked via a notice to share their respective approved plans.
Through the same notice, the civic authority also announced the intent to regularise the non-regularised wedding halls. The Marriage Halls Association president thanked the association’s chairman for helping the owners get more time to regularise their units. The association members are also looking to cooperate with the RDA and follow the directions.
In order to make sure that the entire procedure to regularise the marquees and wedding halls is undiscriminating, the RDA chairman will supervise the operation.
